Night fishing

Went night fishing with my uncle on the Mekong. No phones, no lights except the stars and the lanterns on the boat. He told me about the fish he used to catch when he was young — fish as big as a man, he says. They're gone now. The river is quieter. We caught three small ones and cooked them on the bank. The best meal I've had in months.
